We were appointed to carry out architectural services from Building Warrant onwards for this project. Previously the site of a small commercial premises this brownfield site was redeveloped for retirement housing. Comprising 41nr one and two bedroom apartments, and associated facilities this new development enhances the townscape of North Berwick. The site occupies a prominent corner location within a few miles of Tantallon Castle, a 14th Century historic ruin. A feature ‘stone drum’ providing unique flatted accommodation is a key feature of this design and is an architectural nod to the robust stone fortifications at Tantallon.
