St Anthony’s and St Mark’s Parish Centre

Fernhill, Glasgow

A need was highlighted by the churches of St Anthony’s and St Mark’s to provide a facility which creates a connection between the parish and local communities, with the goal of reaching out to the vulnerable and providing a safe space for all. The proposed Parish Centre will replace an existing church hall and provide an accessible and truly multi-functional building consisting of a large sub-dividable function space, smaller multi-function rooms, computing suite, café, teaching kitchen, small Oratory and a sheltered, landscaped “memory garden”.

The design intent is to provide a contemporary building which fits and responds to the constraints of the site and established ecclesiastical and residential context.
