Holiday Lodges, Golf Academy and Conference Centre

To enhance the existing facilities at the Turnberry Resort, we undertook to master-plan a new Golf Academy, a Conference Centre and a village of golf holiday lodges including the conversion of existing traditional Turnberry buildings. Working closely with Grant Design who were retained by the Client as consultant design advisor, our design approach was a modern interpretation of the distinctive Turnberry vernacular style. The state-of-the-art Academy of Golf enhances the existing facilities and the Conference Centre offers a business facility set in glorious surroundings and was converted from a stable block. New build accommodation complements the restoration of the original Turnberry cottages. Twelve holiday lodges have been designed around a village ‘putting green’ concept and have direct access onto the first tee.
