Haddington

Retirement Development

We were appointed to carry out architectural services from Building Warrant onwards for this project. Completed in the Summer of 2017 the Haddington development is the first McCarthy & Stone development in Scotland that is built using timber kit construction. This required a complete overhaul of all the McCarthy & Stone typical construction details. The development comprises 43 one and two bedroom apartments and 6 two bed cottages. Although traditional in style with pitched roofs, render and cast stone external materials, the detail design is contemporary with stainless steel & glazed cantilevered balconies.
